Kinfuseon Bio
Comin'at ya straight out of Detroit is the group Kinfuseon.
They are composed of two aspiring rap artists whose hard
work, dedication and dreams continue to lead them to success
in the music industry. Lake "Dolla"Bates and James
"Flip" Griffin are cousins who began rapping in
high school where they busted out some serious rhymes. Their
name evolved from the word [con]fusion, which means state
of disorder. Conflicts in life caused them to mature and
distinguish between fantasy and reality of life. Thus the
word "Kinfuseon" came, separating the state of
disorder and creating a family unity. In 1996 Kinfuseon
landed a record deal from New York which sparked the release
of their single called "Crooked Green Papers"which
climbed to #11 on Billboard's Hot Top 50 Rap Singles. Later
followed an album and single "Leaving MCs Confused."
Their new EP Faces of Life is composed of hardcore, hip-hop
rap sounds. The title song, "Faces of Life", represents
the many cares and problems in life which have a way of
expressing themselves on the faces of people. Sometimes
masks are placed on and hide the true meaning of their hearts.
Lake "Dolla"Bates has created an independent record
company labeled Treehouse Records which has allowed Kinfuseon
the freedom to express their musical talents without the
restrictions.
